Compliance Manager

GB Bank have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, technically minded Compliance Manager to join our Team. The successful candidate will take on the duties that help support the business’ continued growth so this would be a fantastic career step for someone with compliance experience within financial services.

This role is a hands-on position for someone who is looking to help lead and drive the process improvements at the Bank.  You’ll find yourself delivering compliance monitoring reviews, interpreting / providing guidance on regulatory changes, providing regulatory advice to Line 1 business areas and signing-off new customer communications.

In this role, you’ll find yourself…

Performing research to stay informed about evolving standards

Responsible for organising  and minute taking at the monthly Conduct and Compliance Committee
Tracking and reporting on upstream regulatory developments.
Producing papers and reports, utilising internal and external Management information, as required.
Providing support to the Head of Compliance, deputising as appropriate.

Proven working experience in UK conduct regulations, regulatory change management and applicable laws.

In-depth understanding of industry standards and regulations (PRA and FCA)
Excellent understanding of reporting procedures and record-keeping

Credit Risk Manager

The purpose of the role is to assist the Head of Enterprise & Credit Risk maintain an effective end-to-end Credit Risk Oversight function for GB Bank. 

As Credit Risk Manager, you will find yourself: 

Developing and continuously improving the credit risk analytics including the choice of internal / external data, analytical tool, production of dashboards / outputs
Ongoing development of the Bank’s credit risk appetite capabilities (limits, monitoring, etc.)
Monitoring lending book performance against established Risk Appetite KPIs
Development of Credit Committee reporting / MI suite
Supporting credit risk reporting to Exco, Risk Co and Board
Providing oversight of credit risk aspects of regulatory reports / returns 
Managing and building internal relationships with key functions within the business
Supporting stress testing & other analysis within the ICAAP, ILAAP, Recovery Plan & SWDP
Preparation of data and analytics as per the Bank’s Credit Risk Roadmap 

Skills and experience – you are/will have most of the following:

A drive to provide quality output as part of a high-performing team
Have the ability to meet deadlines and understand changing priorities throughout the month
Experience of working within a regulated financial services environment
A qualification in an analytical / numerical field
An analytical thought process, with excellent quantitative analysis skills
Strong analytical skills & a curious mind (familiarity with Power BI is a prerequisite)
The ability to draw conclusions based on analytic results, and present complex concepts and results in a way tailored to the audience
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail 
Enjoy working collaboratively and are a clear communicator

Finance Analyst

We are looking for a detail-oriented and control minded Financial Analyst to join our growing Finance and Treasury team. This role needs someone who is a self-starter and self-finisher, who excels in taking a task and fully developing it into insight, with accompanying reports and presentations.  You’ll monitor financial performance of the Bank and reporting financial information and partner other members of the business by supporting the budgeting processes, and contribute to a culture which values data by processing data assets accurately, and in accordance our policy and procedures.

As Finance Analyst you will find yourself:

Assist in the financial record-keeping of the Bank
Perform reconciliation tasks to ensure accuracy in financial records
Assisting in the purchase to pay processes of the Bank

Assist in the preparation of financial reporting, comparing achieved results with financial plans and identifying and communicating insights
Analysing financial results and identifying trends to help improve the Bank’s financial performance, and partnering with the wider business stakeholders 
Developing automated accounting processes to help increase productivity and business efficiency
Handle miscellaneous financial administration tasks as they arise, providing flexible support to the finance team

Skills and experience – you are/will have most of the following:

A relevant qualification in finance, accounting, or a related field
Experience in financial planning, analysis, and modelling
The ability to present financial information to a non-financial audience
Strong organisational and multitasking skills
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
Detail-oriented and able to perform in a high-pressure environment

Finance & Treasury Operations Analyst

In this exciting, newly created role we’ll rely on you to provide operational support to the Finance and Treasury Team within treasury operations. The treasury operations team is responsible for all confirmation, settlement and payment activities relating to all treasury dealing activities. This role requires excellent organisational skills in order to work effectively to tight timescales whilst also ensuring the highest degree of accuracy. You will contribute to a culture which values data by processing data assets accurately, and in accordance our policy and procedures.

In this role you’ll find yourself…

Executing Treasury transaction confirmations in line with the mandated authority.
Ensuring all treasury payments are made accurately and on time.
Assisting in the daily cash management process.  
Management and oversight of all trade confirmations, including dealer mandate checks.
Producing daily collateral margin call reports.
Assisting in the management and maintenance of the bank’s Treasury Management System and preparation of journals to be posted, 
Assist in the production internal reporting.
In conjunction with the Treasury / ALM Team, manage GBB Bank Accounts.
Learn and support Treasury operational daily tasks such as bank account reconciliations, cash allocations, Accounts Payable and Treasury Payments, electronic banking, cash positioning, cash pooling, cash flow forecasting,  bank account signatories, reporting, and other ad hoc tasks 

A bit about you – you are / have most of the following:

Demonstrable experience working in a Treasury back office function.
Knowledge of banking fundamentals e.g.payments, products etc.
Knowledge of treasury instruments and wider financial markets (or willingness to learn).
Systems experience in either Treasury Management System (TMS), Finance or payments systems.
Able to demonstrate knowledge of reconciliation processes.
Well-rounded Treasury knowledge (Balance sheet management, front office dealing, etc.).
Attention detail and the ability to work within tight timeframes.
A strong communicator: develops & maintains good working relationships with both internal colleagues and contacts in the wider market.
You’re driven by quality and pace and have a strong desire to exceed expectations.
Proactive and positive – you build relationships by truly understanding what people need and by fulfilling your promises.
Strong analytical skills, which will mean you can extract meaningful data, convey it with clarity and make sure action is identified and taken.

Financial Accounting Manager

In this exciting role, you will be responsible for coordinating the accounting activities across all business units of GB Bank, and take charge of ensuring precision, compliance, and strategic financial insights across the organisation.

The main purpose of this role is to ensure accurate recording and reporting of financial transactions, compliance with internal and external policies and regulations, managing financial risk, and providing timely and meaningful financial information to stakeholders. 

As Financial Accounting Manager you will find yourself:

Ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial results
Manage the preparation of financial statements, ensuring meticulous review and interpretation of financial results.
Take charge of critical accounting areas ensuring compliance and accuracy.
Establish and maintain robust internal controls, ensuring the effectiveness of procedures and adherence to regulatory requirements.
Develop and nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, regulatory bodies, and financial institutions.
Provide guidance on technical accounting standards
Assist in the preparation of regulatory returns of the Bank
Ad-Hoc Projects: Drive and contribute to ad-hoc projects and requests, showcasing your versatility and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Skills and experience –  you are/will have most of the following:

Specialist Buy-to-Let Business Development Manager

GB Bank have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager that specialises in property backed lending, and in particular those with bridging and portfolio Buy-to-Let finance experience, to join our team. 

In this exciting role, you will be responsible for originating new business enquiries, working to targets, within the specialist property financing sector, forming and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships and you will have an existing network of Brokers and Introducers, as well as other key business relationships.

In this role you’ll find yourself…

Proactive origination of new specialist property lending enquiries to meet agreed targets and work closely with the Relationship Management Team at all times
Raising the profile and awareness of GB Bank in the markets that we operate through effective and targeted networking
Delivering fantastic service to your broker and Introducer network and ensuring that GB Bank are at the forefront of their thoughts for their client’s future lending needs
The provision of exceptional levels of customer service to attract new customers and evidenced by repeat business and positive feedback
Manage and deliver Active Campaigns in line with the Bank’s lending priorities and attend key events and exhibitions as a representative of GB Bank
Supporting the Relationship Management team in originating new enquires 
Responsibility for building and maintaining new relationships with key professionals including key brokers and maintain regular contact with solicitors and valuers where required.

A bit about you – You are/have most of the following:

A proven property Business Development Manager with a similar organisation, and be consistently meeting your targets with a desire to exceed expectations 
Familiar with BTL lending, particularly larger ticket loans which may include the provision of large portfolio loans and loans secured on student accommodation, including complex loan structures.
Strong business development skills with broad market knowledge and presence and with excellent communication skills;
An existing network of Brokers and Introducers who can support you and enable your own success at GB Bank
Be able to operate with the Banks lending guidelines in mind, and have a good knowledge of the end to end lending process, with a particular focus on Buy to Let and Bridging finance
Knowledge of risk management, core lending and financial analysis skills;
